About Dr. Hegazy
About
Dr Iman Hegazy is a consultant paediatrician who enjoys all aspects of neonatal and paediatric care. She has particular interest in supporting new parents adjusting to the challenges of a newborn, including infant feeding, settling, growth and weight gain. Iman is interested in all aspects of general paediatric care and is passionate about childhood allergies and is completing master’s degree in Allergic Diseases.
Dr Hegazy has completed her undergraduate and paediatric post graduate degree in Alexandria University, Egypt, and on moving to Australia she trained as a general paediatrician through both Sydney Children’s Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and completed her paediatric fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital.
Iman has completed Masters of Paediatric and Neonatology, Egypt. She is also a member of the Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health, UK and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Iman speaks Arabic and English.

Referral Criteria
Her special interests include:
- Newborn and infant care (feeding, settling, growth and nutrition)
- Childhood allergies including asthma, eczema, hay fever and food allergies.
- Toileting issues (bowel and bladder)
- Assessment and management of developmental and behavioural concerns and assisting families with accessing allied health and disability services.
